What is Spirit?
Spirit is a Catholic youth ministry program for Grade 6 & 7 students. At Spirit, we provide a safe fun place for youth to engage in Catholic fellowship, get answers to questions about their faith, and, most importantly, experience Jesus in a profound and personal way. Our goal is to present Catholic teaching in a way that young people can understand and encourage them to start building their relationship with God, as well as others in our Parish community. Spirit is completely free and there is no commitment, meaning your child can attend events throughout the year as they please.
Do I have to be Catholic to attend?
Nope! Spirit is open to everybody, regardless of religious background. You’re always welcome here.
When are Spirit nights?
Spirit nights are generally held on the second and fourth Fridays of every month from September to June, at 7:30 – 9:00 pm in the St. Paul Parish Center. Dates may differ due to various parish events.
How old is Spirit?
SPIRIT was established in September of 1999. Which means that SPIRIT is older than all the current pre-teens and older than some of our current leaders!
Why the name Spirit?
The name Spirit represents three things:
- The Trinity
- The Vitality and Spirit of the young
- The kindling Fire of Confirmation
